A ship manager built by people who ran ships, for owners who expect answers.
Sailor Hengtong Marine Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-incorporated third-party ship management company providing technical management, crew management, commercial support, newbuilding supervision and HSEQ assurance to owners of dry bulk, tanker and container tonnage.
The company was founded by master mariners and chief engineers who had spent their careers at sea and in fleet superintendency, and who believed owners deserved a manager that reports honestly, controls cost credibly and keeps crews long enough to know their ships. Today we manage eight vessels totalling 398,300 DWT, employ 268 seafarers and operate from offices in Singapore with crewing partners across Asia.

Every vessel is assigned a named fleet manager, superintendent and crewing officer. Nothing is sub-contracted to a third party, and owners always know who answers the phone.
Budgets that hold
Operating budgets are built bottom-up from the planned maintenance system and tracked line by line. Fleet OPEX variance has stayed within ±3% of budget for three consecutive years.
Transparent monthly reporting
Owners receive a standard monthly pack: technical status, OPEX against budget, crew matrix, HSEQ statistics, inspection findings and close-out status — in a format their lenders accept.
Crew we keep
Officer retention of 94.6% and a direct-employment pool across China, the Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar. Familiar crews on familiar ships mean fewer defects and fewer surprises.
Technical integrity first
Condition-based maintenance, remote performance monitoring and planned dry-dockings. Unscheduled off-hire across the managed fleet was 0.7 days per vessel last year.

Managed under Singapore corporate governance and MPA oversight, with agents, suppliers and class surveyors in every major trading port we call.
